The Canby Police Tactical Entry Team is a tactical response unit trained to respond to critical incidents within the community. The team responds to calls such as high-risk apprehension, high-risk search warrants, high-risk arrests and personal protection in Canby and the surrounding area.

Five years ago Canby Fire District joined forces with the Tactical Entry Team by adding Tactical Medic’s to the team. The Medic’s are full time firefighter/ paramedics who are also trained in police tactics. I addition to providing immediate advanced life support coverage during execution of police activities, Tactical Medics assist police officers with pre incident planning with pre plans, officer health and wellness during the missions, and perimeter security.
